New Webinar on Food Insecurity - May 28, 2019

Because food insecurity is a serious threat to the health and well-being of older adults in the U.S., the NCECE is hosting a training webinar to equip health centers’ healthcare providers to screen and intervene on this important public health issue. Dr. Ucheoma O. Akobundu, Senior Director/Nutrition Strategy and Impact Director at the National Resource Center on Nutrition and Aging “Meals on Wheels America”, and Dr. Heather Hartline-Grafton, Senior Nutrition Policy & Research Analyst at the Food Research & Action Center (FRAC), will lead the conversation. Their presentations will review the prevalence, risk factors, and consequences of food insecurity among older adults, and then describe essential programs, resources, and strategies to address food insecurity among older adults in both clinical and community settings
