Caregiving Resource Hub
This curated collection of resources is provided to help health center providers and staff to better incorporate informal caregivers into the interprofessional care team, which will in turn improve health outcomes for both caregivers and the individuals they support.
Overview
As the number of older adults in the United States age, an increasing number of individuals, primarily family members, partners, and close friends, will take on the role of informal caregivers, often without financial compensation. These caregivers play a vital role in the lives of older adults, offering multifaceted support that includes emotional companionship; physical assistance with activities of daily living; help in meeting nutritional and transportation needs; coordination of medical appointments and medication adherence; and financial management related to the cost of care. This collection of NCECE resources can assist health centers to support the health and well-being of informal caregivers and their loved ones.
